Permanent Lighting in Four Hills, Albuquerque
Wind-ready permanent lighting for the foothill ranch and custom homes of Four Hills, tucked against the mountains in Southeast Albuquerque.
Smart Permanent Lighting for Four Hills Homes
Four Hills sits in the far southeast corner of Albuquerque, where the city meets the southern end of the Sandias near the mouth of Tijeras Canyon. Curving streets, the Four Hills Country Club golf course and long views west across the city give the neighborhood a quiet, tucked-away feel.
That canyon setting also brings wind, and plenty of it. Seasonal holiday strands don't last long here. Our permanent systems are fastened to your home and built to stay put, so you can light your roofline for every holiday from your phone and never chase a loose strand across the yard again.
Designed for Four Hills Rooflines
Many Four Hills homes were built from the 1960s into the 1980s, with long single-story ranches, low-pitched roofs and stucco or brick exteriors, plus a scattering of newer custom homes higher on the slopes. Hillside lots mean some homes show a one-story face to the street and two stories in back, which we account for when planning access and light runs.
Parts of Four Hills are covered by neighborhood covenants or associations. If your street has architectural guidelines, we'll provide drawings and specifications so you can submit them for review. Our default design is a clean warm-white roofline with color-matched track, which tends to suit the neighborhood's established look.
Lighting for Life in Four Hills
Around the neighborhood
- Four Hills Country Club
- Four Hills Road
- Tramway Boulevard
- Central Avenue (Route 66) toward Tijeras Canyon
- Kirtland Air Force Base
Four Hills backyards often face west toward a full-city view and those big New Mexico sunsets. Set your system to come on at dusk in warm white and you'll have a soft glow on the patio while the city lights spread out below.
Because many residents are connected to nearby Kirtland Air Force Base, red, white and blue scenes for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Veterans Day are popular here. Schedule them ahead of time and the system switches over on its own, then returns to everyday warm white.

Four Hills Permanent Lighting FAQs
Four Hills gets serious wind out of Tijeras Canyon. Will the lights stay up?
Yes. Wind is the main reason temporary lights fail in Four Hills, and it's why our system uses a rigid track mechanically fastened to the home. There are no clips to pop loose and no strands to whip around. The wiring is enclosed within the track, and the whole system is rated for outdoor use through wind season, monsoons and winter freezes.
My home is on a slope with a tall back side. Can you light the back too?
We can. Hillside homes in Four Hills often have a two-story rear elevation facing the view. We plan safe access for that side and design the light runs so the front and back feel consistent. Many homeowners light the street side first for curb appeal, then add the view side so the patio and backyard have soft, usable light.
Can I set patriotic colors for military holidays?
Definitely. Red, white and blue scenes are easy to create and schedule for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Veterans Day. You can choose a steady display or a gentle pattern, set the dates once in the app, and the system handles it every year. Everyday warm white comes back automatically after each holiday.
Do I need an HOA approval in Four Hills?
It depends on where your home is. Some sections have covenants or an active association, while others don't. Check your documents or ask your association. If review is required, we'll supply design details, track color and placement information so you can submit your plans. We can't promise approval, but we make the paperwork side simple.
