Fence & Wall Lighting in Albuquerque, NM

Turn your CMU block wall, stucco courtyard wall or coyote fence into a soft line of light that frames the whole yard after dark.

Fence & Wall

What Is Permanent Fence & Wall Lighting?

Almost every yard in Albuquerque is wrapped in a wall. CMU block walls line the back of tract homes from the Westside to the Northeast Heights, stucco courtyard walls enclose entries, and coyote fences give valley and East Mountain properties their character. Fence and wall lighting puts that perimeter to work after dark.

We mount the same low-profile, app-controlled LED track used on rooflines along the cap of your wall, just under it, or along a fence rail. On a block wall it creates a clean horizon line around the yard. On a courtyard wall it draws guests toward the entry. On a coyote fence, it picks out the rough texture of the latillas without hiding it.

Because it's part of the same system, your wall lighting can match the roofline or run its own scene. Keep it warm white for evenings on the patio, sync it with the house for Christmas, or let the backyard go blue and orange for a Fourth of July party while the front stays calm.

Benefits

Why Albuquerque Homeowners Choose Fence & Wall Lighting

  • Frames the whole yard

A continuous line of light along the perimeter makes a backyard feel larger and more finished at night, even before you add any landscape lighting.

  • Safer walking after dark

Soft light along the wall helps you and your guests see edges, gates and steps without harsh floodlights glaring into your neighbor's windows.

  • Built for block and stucco

We mount to CMU caps, stucco faces and fence rails using methods suited to each, with wiring routed cleanly along the wall.

  • Party mode on demand

Switch the backyard to team colors, birthday colors or music-reactive effects for a gathering, then back to warm white when it winds down.

  • Matches your roofline

Run the walls and the roofline together as one system or control them as separate zones from the same app.

Where It Goes

Where Fence & Wall Lighting Works Best

  • Albuquerque backyard block wall with permanent LED lights mounted beneath the cap

    Backyard CMU block walls

Mounted under the block cap, the lights create a crisp line around the yard that turns a plain wall into a design feature.

  • Stucco courtyard wall and portal at an Albuquerque home softly lit with permanent warm-white lights

    Front courtyard walls

Lighting a stucco courtyard wall and its gate gives the entry a warm, welcoming glow and guides guests to the front door.

  • Coyote fence and adobe home in the Albuquerque area lit with permanent outdoor lights at night

    Coyote fences and rural perimeters

On valley and East Mountain properties, a line of light along a coyote fence highlights its texture and marks the edge of a larger lot.

Built for New Mexico

Made for High-Desert Sun, Wind & Monsoons

  • Intense UV
  • Spring wind
  • Monsoon storms
  • Freeze-thaw nights

Walls take a beating in Albuquerque. They sit in full sun all afternoon, catch blowing grit during spring wind season and shed water during monsoon downpours. Our lights ride inside a protective aluminum channel that shields them from UV and windblown debris, and the track is fastened along its full length so it stays put.

Block walls and stucco walls each need their own approach. We use fasteners and sealants suited to the material and route wiring so it doesn't trap water against the wall or create a trip hazard at the base. For coyote fences, we work with the irregular latillas rather than forcing a straight line where the fence isn't straight.

Cold winter nights and freeze-thaw cycles are hard on cheap outdoor lighting, but our system is sealed and rated for outdoor use through those temperature swings. Every installation is backed by our local warranty and supported by an Albuquerque crew.

FAQs

Fence & Wall Lighting FAQs

Can you put lights on a standard backyard block wall?

Yes, CMU block walls are one of the most common surfaces we light in Albuquerque. We typically mount the low-profile track just under the block cap so it's protected and nearly invisible by day. Wiring is routed along the wall to a weatherproof power connection. If your wall is shared with a neighbor, we'll talk through placement so the light faces your yard.

Will wall lights bother my neighbors?

They shouldn't. The lights are low-profile and you control brightness from the app, so you can keep them soft and pointed toward your own yard. Most homeowners run a gentle warm white on a schedule that turns off at a reasonable hour. If you share a wall, we'll position the track on your side and talk about the look before we start.

Can fence lighting run separately from my roofline?

Yes. We can set up your walls as their own zone so you can run a different scene than the roofline, or group everything to change together. Many families keep the front of the house subtle while the backyard goes full color for a party, game night or the Fourth of July, all from the same app.

Do you install on coyote fences or wood fences?

We do. Coyote fences and wood fences need a different mounting approach than block walls because the surface is irregular and the material moves more. We follow the fence line and fasten to rails or posts where the track will be secure. We'll look at the fence's condition first, since lighting works best on a fence that's solid.

What does fence and wall lighting cost?

Pricing depends on the linear footage of wall or fence, the material, how many corners and gates are involved, whether it ties into an existing roofline system, controller zones and where power is available. We measure during a free site visit and provide a written quote. We'll also suggest where lighting will make the biggest difference if you'd like to start smaller.
