Permanent New Year's Eve Lights in Albuquerque

Champagne gold and silver sparkle that builds toward midnight, then settles into a calm glow for the first night of the year.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Lighting Without the Ladder

New Year's Eve is the one night when it feels right for your home to sparkle. Permanent lights let you trade Christmas red and green for gold, silver and champagne on December 31 without changing a single bulb.

You can schedule a slow shimmer for the evening, a faster celebration effect around midnight and a gentle warm white for New Year's Day. Hosting a party? The lights do the decorating for you.

New Year's Patterns to Try

  • Champagne Bubbles

Random twinkles of gold and white rising across the roofline, a festive backdrop for a party on the patio or under the portal.

  • Countdown Build

Schedule the effect speed and brightness to step up through the evening so the house feels like it is building toward midnight.

  • Midnight Sky

Deep blue with scattered white sparkles, inspired by the clear, starry high-desert sky on a cold winter night.

Scheduling Tip: Set It and Forget It

Set it in December and forget it. Before the holidays get busy, add a December 31 scene that starts at sunset, a brighter sparkle that runs around midnight and a calm warm white or soft gold for New Year's Day. Then schedule your Three Kings Day look for January 6 and everyday lighting after that.

FAQs

New Year's Lighting FAQs

Can the lights change at exactly midnight?

Yes. Scheduled scenes can switch at a specific time, so you can set a celebratory effect to begin at midnight. You can also trigger it manually from your phone if you prefer to start it during the countdown with your guests. Either way, you never have to step outside in the cold to make it happen.

Do I have to turn off my Christmas lights first?

No. The same lights handle both. Your Christmas scene simply hands off to the New Year's scene at the time you choose, and back again if you want to keep Christmas colors going until Three Kings Day. There is nothing to unplug or swap out.

Will sparkle effects look tacky?

Not if they are tuned well. We help you set brightness and speed during setup so the effect feels elegant rather than frantic. Gold and warm white sparkles at a slow pace look refined on Territorial and Pueblo Revival homes alike. You can preview any scene before the big night.

What about Three Kings Day on January 6?

Many Albuquerque families keep the season going until Three Kings Day, and permanent lights make that easy. Schedule a jewel-tone or gold scene for January 6, then let the app return your home to everyday warm white. It is also Statehood Day, so some homeowners finish the night in New Mexico red and yellow.
